Euravia Odour Nuisance

7th of August, 2024

On Tuesday 6th August Councillor Katiff and Councillor Ellis attended the West Craven Area Committee meeting in Barnoldswick.

An agenda item was a discussion regarding the odour discharged from Euravia, this follows a meeting 10th July where the Chair of West Craven Area Committee, a Councillor from Kelbrook and Sough ParishCouncil, representatives of Euravia, and a PBC Environmental Health officer met to discuss some complaints raised by local residents. It was agreed that Euravia wil lundertake air monitoring, PBC will liaise with the company to share non-sensitive data from any complainant diary sheets and correlate this with the times of testing.

It was agreed at the WCAC that the community would be asked to create a log of times, duration, intensity etc. this will be followed up in one month. Attached is the log sheet for you to download and complete, you can give this to any Parish Councillor or post in the box at the Village Hall. If you believe you are affected by the odour from Euravia we urge you to complete this document so we can find a solution going forward.
